Specifications: 
a) Origin: fruit of Gardenia jasminoids.
b) Appearance: yellow or orange yellow powder.
c) Description: a natural yellow pigment extracted from the fruit of 
gardenia. Water 
solution has a bright and stable golden - yellowish hue, especially 
in alkaline, with an absorbance peak at 440nm. It is easily soluble in water, ethanol water liquor,
but not soluble in acetone or oil. 
d) Characteristics: good stability in light, heat and microbe. The pigment also has
a good dyeing ability to starch and protein.
e) Composition: Crocin and crocetin ().
f) Application: Add to water or ethanol solution and stir to get a
diluted yellow solution. For best result, stir under 80oC.
